The district includes the southeast corner of Lawrence, as well as Baldwin City and rural southeast Douglas County.
I am a Kansas native whose fierce love for this state and its people has led me to a career in public service – in nonprofits, local government, and now elected office.
For the past seven years, I have worked as the Sustainability Director for the City of Lawrence and Douglas County, where I led our local government efforts to use less energy, support our local agricultural economy, and generate less waste. I have seen firsthand the critical and positive role that government can play in improving the quality of life of our citizens.
I care deeply about the future of our state. I want Kansas to be a great place to raise my sons, build our small business, and get outside and play in our Kansas landscapes.
I live in Lawrence with my husband Rick, stepson Miles, and sons Leo and Bowie. Rick is executive chef and co-owner of Limestone pizza in downtown Lawrence. Our family, small business, and multiple volunteer and board commitments keep us busy and connected to this great community!
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve the constituents of the 10th district and the people of Kansas. This coming January, I will be serving on the following committees: Federal and State Affairs, Health and Human Services, and Agriculture.
I look forward to working for you and with you in Topeka.
